A Life Well Lived

I'll never travel the world. And that's ok.

I'll never be rich.

I'll never wear jewels or diamonds or own a fur. And that's ok.

I'll never be famous.

I'll never have the world's applause.

I'll never patent an invention, find the cure for a disease, or run for a political office.

I'll never have a padded bank account, make millions, or run a huge business. And that's ok.

Not many will know my name.

I won't be well known in my community. I'll never be mayor. I'll never hold office at the town hall.

I will never have speeches made about me, or have a statue built in my honor. And that's ok.

My job, my name, my occupation, may seem small and trivial and pitiful to most, but it's not to a small group of people in my life- my husband and eight kids.

To them, I am the consistent in their life.

I may never wear jewels around my neck, but my toddlers wrap their arms around my neck every day.

I may never wear expensive perfume, but I know how to rock tears and spit-up.

I may never run a company, but I know how to organize chaos into a functioning home.

I may never drive around the famous, but I chauffeur around the most important people in my world.

No one might remember my name, but my kids will never forget it.

I won't ever be famous, but to my babies, I am person that they know and love the most.

I may never travel the world, but I will be the world to my kids and husband.

I may never be a career woman, but I am raising kids who will contribute to society and make it a better place to live.

I may never have the applause of the world, but I have a husband and kids who I deeply love, and who deeply love me back.

Don't ever let anyone make you feel less for not choosing fame, fortune, fun, or money.

You are the most important person in the lives of your family, and you will have a lasting impact on generations to come, Mama.

Money can't buy that.

Fame can't buy that.

Notoriety can't buy that.

Love your family, and love them well.

That is a life well lived.
